Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition launches on August 27

Square Enix has finally announced that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be released worldwide on August 27, 2020.

It will be available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.

The remaster of the Nintendo GameCube game that was originally released back in 2003 was announced on September 10, 2018 for a 2019 release. It was later delayed to a January 23, 2020 release date before being delayed once again to Summer 2020 and now this date.

The actual reasoning behind the long seven month delay is unknown beyond the standard "polishing" of the game. Unfortunately it has not seen them release the game on Xbox One and PC as well. Hopefully it comes to Xbox One and PC later, and sooner the better of course.

It also seems odd that it will release almost two years since its announcement when we saw actual gameplay footage at its announcement.

A PlayStation 4 theme will be available to those who purchase the game on the PlayStation Store in Japan but it has yet to be confirmed for the rest of the world.

I've said it before but hopefully this is just the start and they will remaster Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles My Life as a King and My Life as a Darklord soon as well.

They have also released what they describe as a new trailer although it looks just like the trailer they have already re-released before...you can check it out below regardless.
