As part of a video message from producer Yoshinori Kitase thanking fans for waiting for the game, Square Enix has been silly and publicly shown footage of the game from a PC version.

The game footage comes with the text "Gameplay captured on PC".

This confirms Square Enix already has a PC version of the game they feel more comfortable using in videos than the PlayStation 4 version.

We've always known Final Fantasy VII Remake is a timed exclusive to PlayStation 4 and will be for a full year but this shows it's very likely they will release a PC version of the game when the one year deal runs out.

However it's also possible the one year deal is just for consoles and even then Square Enix released Rise of the Tomb Raider on PlayStation 4, 11 months after it debuted on Xbox One.

We will just have to wait and see when it's released on PC.

For now you can check out Kitase's message below.
