It has taken them over 4 years but Square Enix has finally allowed developer DotEmu to fix the music looping issue in the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy VII.

They fixed this issue shortly after release on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch earlier this year so it's great to finally see them fix it on PS4 as well.

Square Enix describes the update as "Fixed issue where the BGM would restart after a battle while on the field."

In addition they also "Fixed various minor bugs".

Thank you to Square Enix for finally fixing this issue. Hopefully they continue to do this for all other games and versions with issues. For example, Final Fantasy IX still has its music looping issue present on various versions including Xbox One, PC and iOS.
