Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition delayed again, now to Summer 2020

Square Enix has announced that they are unfortunately once again delaying Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition.

The remaster of the Nintendo GameCube game is now scheduled to be released worldwide during Summer 2020 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.

The delay as they explained is to give "the development team some extra time to make final adjustments to the game to make this the best experience possible."

This is the second time this title has been delayed as it was first announced in September 2018 for a 2019 release.

As it stands there has also not been any announcement regarding versions for Xbox One or PC meaning they will almost certainly be released on those platforms later if at all.

It's a shame as their other Final Fantasy ports for Xbox One and PC have sold well and ports to those platforms would be fairly straight forward.

The news is also disappointing as it means we will also likely have to wait longer for any other remasters from the Crystal Chronicles series.

As part of an apology for the wait artist Toshiyuki Itahana shared the above illustration.
