Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers launches July 2, 2019

Final Fantasy XIV producer/director Naoki Yoshida has announced during his keynote address at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2019 in Paris, France that the next expansion for the MMO will launch on July 2, 2019.

Those who pre-order Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will get Early Access to the expansion starting June 28, 2019. Pre-orders begin February 6.

Shadowbringers' first new Job will be Gunbreaker. It is gunblade wielder that fills the tank role.

It will also bring the Trust system which will allow you to fight alongside prominent characters.

There will be a new Beast Tribe in the pixies and a Primal in Titania.

The Viera will also be a new playable race.

And there will also be new areas in Il Mheg–a lush, an awe-inspiring vale and the Rak’tika Greatwood–a sprawling forest of ancient, towering sentinels.

And of course there is a collector's edition that includes a Shadowbringers Special Art Box, Dark Knight Figure, Shadowbringers Art Book, Shadowbringers Logo Cling, playing cards and exclusive in-game items: Grani Mount, Wind-up Fran Minion and Revolver Gunbreaker Weapon.

Those who pre-order either edition of the expansion will receive the in-game items Baby Gremlin Minion and Aetheryte Earring which will actually be released March 1, 2019.

Finally, a Final Fantasy XIV Starter Edition for PC that includes a 30 day subscription will be included with Twitch Prime2 beginning February 4, 2019 until May 3, 2019. More details can be found at twitchprime.com.
