Yoshinori Kitase again reassures Final Fantasy VII Remake development is moving along well

It has been over 3 years since we last saw any footage for Final Fantasy VII Remake but producer Yoshinori Kitase has once again tried to assure fans that "development on Final Fantasy VII Remake is moving along well!".

Kitase took the time to say this in Famitsu's annual developer feature heading into the new year.

Kitase of course said similar this time last year, and director Tetsuya Nomura has also been saying the same.

Stuff like this happened back in the day for Final Fantasy Versus XIII as well so there's that.

Kitase also mentioned Mobius Final Fantasy's collaboration event with Final Fantasy VIII (Available now in Japan, coming in 2019 for rest of the world) so make sure you check that out when you can. It features a taste of Final Fantasy VIII in high definition including two playable Squalls and elements of the game's battle system all with an original story from the team that brought you Final Fantasy VIII to begin with.
