Dissidia Final Fantasy just celebrated its 10th anniversary after being first released on December 18, 2008 in Japan for the PlayStation Portable and in order to celebrate this milestone Square Enix decided to hold a livestream.

The four hour in total livestream featured Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade/NT producer Ichiro Hazama (who also served as producer on Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy and was character licensing administrator on the original) and director Takeo Kujiraoka (previously a battle planner on the original Dissidia and planning director (battles) for 012).

The first hour and a half covered Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade/NT with nothing major.

Then after a break it was onto the main event: the 10th anniversary of Dissidia Final Fantasy. Hazama and Kujiraoka began playing its prequel/follow-up Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy as the face of the game and main addition Lightning and were soon joined by Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of the original Dissida Final Fantasy who has since (like most Final Fantasy creators still at the company) taken a small involvement in following installments receiving a special thanks.

Kitase was of course just the first special guest however, as Mitsunori Takahashi then took his place. Takahashi was the director of Dissidia 012 and a planning director on the original. He simply received a special thanks on Arcade/NT, perhaps due to his commitments to the Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Throughout this two or so hours they talked about the Dissidia Final Fantasy series, all of its titles, showed various trailers and promotional videos for the PSP games, and featured various merchandise that has been released for the sub-series over the past 10 years.

All the while they did this they played its prequel Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy as Lightning for about an hour and half before playing as Vaan, one of 012's other additions for a short amount of time.

They then talked some more before ending the stream with the original game's ending and credits.

Happy 10 years Dissidia Final Fantasy, you can watch it all below if you want. 10th anniversary part begins at 2:02:47.
