Square Enix has announced that their mobile adaption of Final Fantasy XV is now available on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4 and Xbox Store for Xbox One worldwide and is coming soon to the Nintendo eShop for Switch.

The console version of Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is oddly titled Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD. This is odd since the Apple, Google, Amazon and Windows versions are already HD.

Like the other versions of the game, it's available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish (Latin America). Audio is available in English, French, German and Japanese.

Despite the first chapter being free on Apple, Google, Amazon and Windows, the console versions require you to purchase all chapters at once at a surprisingly large price. PlayStation Plus subscribers will however get 40% off for the first week while Xbox One owners can also get it 40% off for the first week.

Also, fun fact: This will be the first Final Fantasy game playable on Nintendo Switch in any way. There is currently no word on when the Switch version will launch but it's likely it will be whenever Nintendo holds their rescheduled Nintendo Direct.

It will be interesting to see if Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition also makes its way to Steam, as it could well be the first single-player Final Fantasy to ever release on Mac and the first one whatsoever on Linux.

You can check it out in a new trailer below.
