Speculation: Final Fantasy VII Remake To Feature Advent Children Cast

In a recent interview with Dengeki PlayStation, Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase discuss a bit about the Final Fantasy VII Remake's voice acting and in a way have hinted that the Advent Children cast might be reprising their roles.

“Basically," Nomura states, "it will be fully voiced. We still haven’t decided the voices of the characters that weren’t in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children."

This leads us to believe that the team is hoping to gather up the old Advent Children gang for the Remake which should be awesome. Also, the fact that they've said the game will include voice acting for every character is also quite impressive. Really wondering what dear old Mukki will sound like.

The interview also discussed the game's map, but unfortunately the pair couldn't say much about whether or not Final Fantasy VII Remake will be open-world stating that the team is more focused on the scenery creation than whether or not it's a sandbox title.

When asked about mini games, Kitase and Nomura stated that some of the old mini games will be back, but probably not all.

"We want to put the mini-games that remain favorable among fans in as much as possible," stated Kitase.

As for a 2017 release date, don't hold your breath just yet as Nomura playfully stated that he's waiting for the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 and World of Final Fantasy in 2016 to release any more information.
