Key Facts From The Dissidia Final Fantasy Conference

If you weren't one of the lucky few to take part in the Dissidia Final Fantasy Conference, don't fret. Here's some of the key information that we learned today from the event.

First off we have our first site of what the arcade cabinet will actually lok like. The controllers are reminiscent of PlayStation controls with triangle, square, circle and X buttons instead of what you'd see on classic arcade cabinets like the old fighting game ones. They even showed off a PlayStation 4 version of the game at the conference.

Going along with that, Square Enix have announced that Dissidia Final Fantasy will only be exclusive to Japanese arcades for about a year so we perhaps we'll be seeing a console version announcement then. It was also confirmed that Tecmo Koei's Team Ninja will be assisting with the game's development.

A number of characters have been featured as returning to the series including the Warrior of Light, Cloud, Onion Knight, Lightning, and Terra. Y'shtola of Final Fantasy XIV will be joining the cast as well as Ramza from Final Fantasy Tactics.

Finally Takeharu Ishimoto will be returning to compose and Square Enix has released a brand new track for the game which has already gotten us excited for the game. You can listen to the new track here

No word on when Dissidia Final Fantasy will release, but we're definitely looking forward to more information on this so be sure to check back! You can check out more information by heading to the official site!
