It seems as though Square Enix has done it again. Instead of focussing on existing Final Fantasy properties that they currently have in development, they've released a tech demo showing what a prospective Final Fantasy title could look like on next-generation consoles.

The video, which is just under four minutes long, has been dubbed Agni's Philosophy. It showcases a blend of modern technology like guns, but also fantasy elements - there's even a summon thrown in there for good measure. Character design was supervised by Tetsuya Nomura, with Yoshihisa Hashimoto directing the video.

By visiting the website , you can also take part in a survey, which is surely Square Enix prospecting this as a potential game for the future. Could this be the start of Final Fantasy XV? Who knows.
