Final Fantasy XIV Patch 1.17a Released

FFXIV by Colin

Square Enix have released patch 1.17a for Final Fantasy XIV, which fixes a couple of bugs as well as adds some neat features to the game.

New sidequests have been added as well as Guild tasks, which players can obtain by taking a look at the new task boards found at any Adventurer's Guild. Completing a guild task will award players with both rewards and skill points for the active class. On a side note, players can only complete one Guild Task per day, with the reset pegged at 5PM PDT daily.

In addition, a new 3D effect will trigger on screen when a light or full party is formed. A light party involves 4-7 players while a full party comprises of 8.

The following bugs have also been fixed,

A bug wherein party member markers on the world map and minimap would sometimes shift abruptly to the lower right portion of the map.

A bug wherein faction leve rewards could be obtained repeatedly without proper expenditure of faction credits.

Measures have been taken to correct a bug wherein recovery maintenance was being obstructed following market area difficulties on all worlds due to the feature that remembers retainer locations.

You can see the patch notes in detail through here.
