Square Enix have released some details and screenshots for their newest downloadable content for Final Fantasy XIII-2. This is a new character scenario following Snow Villiers with a Coliseum battle against Valfodr and will be released on May 15th. However, no price has been mentioned.

Snow’s DLC centres upon his relationship with his fiancée Serah and his mission as L’Cie. Motomu Toriyama has said that the episode will clear up some mysteries about the Coliseum and Snow’s new mission as a L’Cie.



















The second half of the DLC features the strongest Coliseum opponent yet, Valfodr. This new enemy has the ability to use weapons, magic and summons. Valfodr will appear multiple times through the episode and will be at a higher level and new abilities upon each encounter. Toriyama has said that Valfodr was added as a sort of ‘last boss’ for the Coliseum. When facing Valfodr at its maximum level, it is the strongest enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2.





















Like in all of the other Coliseum DLCs, both Snow and Valfodr can be recruited by the party. Snow has a 30% Crystal Rate making him easy to recruit while Valfodr’s Crystal Rate depends on the level he is fought at. At maximum level, the Crystal Rate is 100%.

When Snow is a party member, he is a Commando that focuses on punches and kicks. When Valfodr is a member, he is a Ravager with the strength of a Commando and learnable abilites: Hellflame, Hellspark, Hellstorm and Hellfreezer.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is available worldwide for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
