In last week’s issue of Jump, Final Fantasy III was announced for the PSP. Today, Square Enix has released a Teaser Trailer and some screenshots for the new port of the game.

The new version will be based on the DS remake from 2006 with some new features from the iOS and Android versions of the game.

These include:

- 16x9 resolution
- A gallery with a BGM player and illustrations
- An option for changing between the original Famicom music and the updated DS music
- An Auto-Battle feature that doubles the battle speed and allows the characters to fight on their own.

The game is set to release in Japan on September 20th 2012 in UMD format at 3,990 Yen and digital form on the PSN at 3,300 Yen. There is currently no word on whether the game will be available in the west.
