There have been few updates regarding Final Fantasy Agito XIII recently, even on the 3rd Birthday Twitter feed where many of such posts are to be found. Game director of both The 3rd Birthday and Agito Hajime Tabata explained the main reason for that is because he has been real busy.

Working on Final Fantasy Agito XIII, that is.

"Because pretty much nothing has been revealed about Agito, players are probably unable to get a grasp on the game and are thus unable to look forward to it. However, we'll be releasing information next year, and all members of the team are putting their all into development, thinking that it will end up being widely anticipated."

"We're making it into a game that will exceed everyone's expectations," he added.

Tabata also talked a bit about the game saying that it is "a major title that's formed from a variety of concepts." Three of which are "Collision of four fantasies (the world view)," "Killing match between magic and weapons (battle)," and "The Ordinary and Unordinary (the two sides of reality)."

He wholly recommends playing The 3rd Birthday to those who are interested in Agito to use as a reference for what the team is capable of doing with the PSP hardware in terms of gameplay.
