GamingUnion.net, our parent site, has published its review of Final Fantasy XIII-2 after being given the opportunity to play through the game before its official release in North America on the 31st of January.
Today's spotlight features a much older Hope Estheim and a brand new supporting character, Alyssa Zaidelle. The two are with the Academy, a research organization established to create a world independent of fal'Cie. A bit of caution, if you haven't played Final Fantasy XIII, this contains spoilers regarding Hope's backstory.
Hello there again and thanks for joining us for yet another character spotlight. Up next are NORA, the resistance fighters led by Snow Villiers, Serah's fiance. Again, no spoilers here, just information based on what Square Enix have released publically, we hope you find this informative!
Square Enix Members have released a video interview with Final Fantasy XIII-2 Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Director Motomu Toriyama where the duo talk about the reception and what it was like developing the game. They also touch on the topic of downloadable content.
Here's a quick rundown of the pre-order goods Square Enix has in store for you. Depending on where you make your purchase, you'll be in for a number of collectible treats, including downloadable items or collectibles of the more tangible kind.
Japanese publication Famitsu recently interviewed Tetsuya Nomura, who revealed some elegantly sparse details concerning the projects under Square Enix's 1st Production Department wing, including Final Fantasy Versus XIII and the Final Fantasy X HD remake.
With only a few weeks before its release, Square Enix has confirmed a demo for Final Fantasy XIII-2.
The demo will be available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The PlayStation 3 demo will be out on January 10 in North America and January 11 in Europe. Xbox 360 users will be able to get the demo on January 11.
Getting this demo is a great way to get a taste of Final Fantasy XIII-2 for yourself before the game's release. And if you do decide to get the game, then you can find out how to pre-order it via amazon here. By pre-ordering it through Amazon, not only will you be helping out Gaming Union but you'll be getting either the Omega boss battle (US) or an exclusive weapon for Noel (UK).
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is available in North America on January 31 and in Europe on February 3.
Given our track record with Final Fantasy releases in the last decade, it's hard to believe Final Fantasy XIII-2 is actually releasing in less than a month now!
I for one actually rather enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII for what it was, and although I haven't played it properly, I've got full faith that Final Fantasy XIII-2 will right all the wrongs of the original. Hopefully you guys all agree *fingers crossed*.
Anyway, if you haven't pre-ordered the game yet, why not? It's probably the biggest Final Fantasy game you're going to be seeing for a while. Plus, if you pre-order through us, we get a little cut to help lessen our expenses!
