Final Fantasy XIII-2 Japanese TV Spot

PS3X360 by Banaz

Just about a week before it's release in Japan, Square Enix releases a small TV commercial for Final Fantasy XIII-2.

The trailer itself is 15 seconds long and solely consists of cutscene footage, most of which we've already seen in the previous trailers with a couple of exceptions. In one still, Yeul is seen sitting on a sofa that was in the Narthex of Orphan's Cradle from Final Fantasy XIII. At the very end of the trailer Lightning, still in her Guardian Corps uniform, stands before Etro's shrine and sheds a tear.

What could all this mean? Seems like we'll have to wait till Final Fantasy XIII-2's release in Japan on December 15, in North America on January 31, and in Europe on February 3 to find out.

Trailer after the jump.

Clarification on Final Fantasy XIII-3.com Domain

PS3X360 by Banaz

Back in September, Square Enix registered a domain name for Final Fantasy XIII-3. Fans cringed at the idea of another installment especially since Final Fantasy XIII-2, the sequel to its predecessor, wasn't even completed at the time. Now Square Enix makes a clarification regarding that move.

The topic was brought up on Square Enix's weekly radio broadcast by radio showhostess Asuka Nishi, who said that she would like to have a voice role in the rumored Final Fantasy XIII-3. Akio Ofuji, Square Enix's public relations agent, responded by saying that the registration of the domain name was merely a precaution taken by Square Enix's US office without Square Enix Japan's knowledge of the matter.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Relived that Final Fantasy XIII-3 may be nothing but a rumor or would you be interested to see a third installment? Not much time till Final Fantasy XIII-2's release in Japan on December 15.
