Simultaneous Western Release For Dissidia A Possibility

In a press release last week, Square Enix announced that off the back of its Japanese success, Dissidia: Final Fantasy would be released in Europe during the Autumn period of 2009. This was great news for European gamers who felt a bit left out when a similar announcement was made for North American gamers at the end of last year.
Again, when Square Enix announced that Dissidia would be coming to North America, they didn't give any specific dates, and merely stated that Dissidia would be coming out mid-2009 in North America. Now, generally speaking, Mid 2009 would probably fall into the May-July range, whereas Autumn falls more into the August-October range. However, given the vagueness of Square Enix's release dates, there's nothing to stop them releasing both versions at the same time. After all, it's starting to become common practice for them at the moment.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy Confirmed For Europe

It was announced a while back that Dissidia: Final Fantasy would be released in North America, but Square Enix kept their European audiences wanting to find out if the game would also be released in their territory. Well, the news has now been made official that Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be released in Europe.
No concrete date has been set by Square Enix yet, but the official press release stated that it would arrive at some point during the Autumn period of 2009, which sounds roughly about the same time as the North American release date. Who knows, perhaps they might even be released on the same date?

Dissidia Coming To Europe
Dissidia US Release Date Confirmed As Mid-2009

At the time of Dissidia's release in Japan, no release date was set in stone for either North America or Europe and fans around the world were still holding their breath for an announcement.
This announcement has just come, the day after the game's release in Japan. Square Enix issued a press statement, but wouldn't be tied down to an actual date in the calender as they've announced that Dissidia's North American release date will be around the middle of the year in 2009.
Usually games are much quicker to reach Western shores than this, but it could be due to the game's extensive dialogue. However, this certainly doesn't look optimistic for European gamers, as they probably won't be seeing the game until towards the end of 2009. This isn't something unusual, but Square Enix promised that things were going to get better, not worse.

Final Fantasy Dissidia US Release
Final Fantasy Dissidia Japanese Release Date Revealed

While a prospective time-frame for Final Fantasy Dissidia's release was touted at the recent DKΣ3713 event, Square Enix wouldn't specify anything other than December 2008.
They have now decided to be more specific and announced that Final Fantasy Dissidia will be released in Japan on the 18th of December, just in time for Christmas. Square Enix have also announced that the game will retail for ¥6,090.
On top of this news, a bundle has also been announced which will include the new PSP3000 and Final Fantasy Dissidia for a modest ¥25,890 and this is scheduled for release at the same time.
