The Final Fantasy series for the first time in years has almost nothing going on at E3 this year, but a collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV and Capcom's Monster Hunter: World was announced however.

Announced during Square Enix's E3 2018 Showcase, the “King of the Skies,” Rathalos, from Monster Hunter: World will arrive in Final Fantasy XIV in Summer 2018 along with new challenges and characters from Monster Hunter: World.

Then later during Letter from the Producer Live, Final Fantasy XIV producer/director Naoki Yoshida and Monster Hunter: World producer Ryozo Tsujimoto revealed that the Behemoth from Final Fantasy XIV will be coming to Monster Hunter: World also during Summer 2018 as a free update.

Final Fantasy XIV is available worldwide for PC, PlayStation 4 and Mac. Monster Hunter: World is available worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a PC version scheduled for a Fall 2018 release.
