Yasumi Matsuno, the creator of Ivalice, the world that appeared in his games made during his time at Square in Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Final Fantasy XII has discussed in an interview with IGN why the world he made 20 years ago was brought into Final Fantasy XIV.

He talks about how it came to be, the basic concept, making it enjoyable to both people that played those games and those that haven't and more.

He is also joined by Final Fantasy XIV art director Hiroshi Minagawa, who previously worked with Matsuno on the mentioned games, took over his directorial duties on Final Fantasy XII and more.

Check it out below. Final Fantasy Union does not necessarily agree with the video's title however.
