King's Knight -Wrath of the Dark Dragon- to be shut down June 26, 2018

In zero surprise, King's Knight -Wrath of the Dark Dragon- will be shut down for iOS and Android on June 26, 2018.

The Final Fantasy XV spin-off and successor to the original King's Knight game, was originally announced at Tokyo Game Show 2016 for a 2016 release before being delayed to 2017. It was then further delayed after a beta period in Australia when they decided more work was needed. It was finally released in September 2017 in English & Japanese. In the end it will have lasted 9 months.

The multiple delays and lack of marketing no doubt hurt the game but also the lack of support for various Android devices did not help either. And despite being a fairly simple game text-wise it was only available in English & Japanese further hurting its chances.

This is very similar to the other Final Fantasy XV spin-off for iOS and Android in Justice Monsters Five. It was a free-to-play spin-off based off a mini-game in Final Fantasy XV available in English & Japanese for iOS and Android. Both of their launches were delayed by multiple months and in the end neither was supported for an entire year.

Funnily enough, Justice Monsters Five was shut down almost a year to this very day. And yet it's still available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to this very day. So who knows how long it will take for them to actually remove King's Knight -Wrath of the Dark Dragon-.

Another one bites the dust.
