After being announced 13 months ago and being delayed at the end of 2017, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Explorers-Force will finally launch in Japan for iOS and Android on March 15, 2018.

Final Fantasy Explorers-Force is a free-to-play successor to the Nintendo 3DS game, Final Fantasy Explorers.

Takahiro Abe, the project manager on the original game is serving as director while Hiroyuki Miura is again serving as producer. After serving as design supervisor on the original game, Gen Kobayashi has handled character designs for this game.

It is a title from Square Enix Business Division 3 like the original game however it's currently unknown who is developing it. The original game was developed by Racjin.

There is currently nothing to suggest a release outside of Japan.
