It has been almost 25 months since we received a trailer of any kind for Final Fantasy VII Remake and almost an entire year since some artwork and screenshots were released but producer Yoshinori Kitase (he's also producer on Mobius Final Fantasy) has issued a small update on the multi-part remake that has been in development now for nearly 4 years.

In a developer survey with 4Gamer.net, Kitase said the following. Credit to Gematsu for the translation.

"We are working closely on the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Mobius Final Fantasy is also headed towards its third year and we will start up a new chapter in 2018, so please look forward to it."

While in one with Famitsu.com, Kitase said the following.

"Mobius Final Fantasy is collaborating with Final Fantasy X! Final Fantasy VII Remake also develops smoothly!"

If you can't wait for Final Fantasy VII Remake, there's a bunch of assets from the game in Mobius Final Fantasy right now. Mobius is available in 4K while running at 60fps on Steam in addition to iOS and Android. You can also play as Cloud's character model from VII Remake if you're lucky.
