Quick Save feature added to Final Fantasy Tactics on Android, still no cloud saving

Square Enix has finally updated the Android version of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions and while it's a good update it's not what was needed.

The update added a Quick Save feature, fixed a crash bug occurring on certain devices and other various fixes.

Unfortunately though it didn't add the thing it has been sorely lacking since it launched on the Google Play Store over two years ago: cloud saving.

Without cloud saving it is impossible to back up your save files or transfer them to other devices. They're literally stuck on that one device and if you clear the app's data or uninstall it your save files are gone forever. And given the nature of mobile phones and tablets people usually upgrade to a new one every year or two. As a result of this people would have to keep that old device if they want to keep their save file.

I personally have this issue with Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. I have a completed save file on my old phone and as a result I keep the phone even though I'll never use it again.

The iPhone and iPad versions of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions were also recently updated with the Quick Save feature as well as support for iOS 11. They however have included cloud saving support since 2013.
