Large scale Final Fantasy X event coming to Mobius Final Fantasy in Japan

Square Enix has announced in a Mobius Final Fantasy livestream at Tokyo Game Show 2017 that a large scale Final Fantasy X event is coming to Mobius Final Fantasy's Japanese version next month.

Titled 'Dream Within A Dream', a prologue for the event will be released in mid-October followed by more in November and December.

This event will no doubt be similar to the Final Fantasy XIII event currently being held in the global version which features gameplay elements, music and characters from Final Fantasy XIII in an original story for Mobius.

This event is zero surprise as director Motomu Toriyama and producer Yoshinori Kitase's games have been featuring in the game in various events before. I would not be surprised to see one for Final Fantasy VIII next year, maybe to coincide with a port for PlayStation 4 or iOS and Android.

Mobius Final Fantasy is made by the team behind the Final Fantasy X series so like the Final Fantasy XIII event it is in perfect hands with director Motomu Toriyama, producer Yoshinori Kitase, scenario supervisor Kazushige Nojima, lead scenario writer Daisuke Watanabe, graphics & vfx director Shintaro Takai and others.

More details will be available later.

This event will come to the global version in 2018, in the mean time the Final Fantasy XIII event is currently being held and the Final Fantasy VII event held in Japan earlier this year will be coming in a few months.
