Square Enix has celebrated the upcoming 2nd anniversary of Mobius Final Fantasy launching in Japan in style. In a cafe instead of the usual place they spent 3 hours talking about the game.

The stream kicked off with producer Yoshinori Kitase and project leader Naoki Hamaguchi discussing the upcoming updates including their new collaboration event with Final Fantasy XIV.

They showed anamatics (early animation) for Mobius Final Fantasy's cutscenes and more.

Next, composer Mitsuto Suzuki appeared via a video and Mobius Final Fantasy Original Soundtrack 2 was annouced. It will be released in Japan on August 2, 2017. It will include all of the music from chapter 4 through to chapter 8 along with the special events including Final Fantasy XIII. More details are available here.

Things didn't slow down however as the Japanese voice actor for Wol (the playable character) showed up and they had some fun.

But the biggest part of the show was the last hour. Director Motomu Toriyama and scenario supervisor Kazushige Nojima appeared for the very first time in a Mobius Final Fantasy livestream. This is exciting as it's the first time Toriyama has done more than a message or a dev survey since Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII was released worldwide.

It's currently unclear what they discussed due it all being in Japanese but if we find out anything cool we'll let you know.

And to wrap it all up a giant Moogle made of flowers was given to the team. Mobius Final Fantasy turns two on June 4.
