Fantastic news for those in the US who have been following Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV since it was announced at Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV... it will be getting a limited run in selected movie theatres!

Square Enix were initially coy on whether Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV would see a theatrical release outside of Japan, but they have now announced that the movie will show in select movie theatres on the 18th of August, 2016. This will follow on from the Japanese theatrical release, which is set to take place on the 9th of July, 2016.

At the same time as announcing the date, Square Enix also took to Twitter to inform fans that the international version of the film is now complete. This follows recent news whereby the voice actor for Drautos was named and the likeness for Luche Lazarus was also revealed.

There's no current word on any kind of theatrical release for European territories, but it's best to watch this space for now.

Be sure to check out the most recent Japanese trailer below!
