World of Final Fantasy is the newest PlayStation exclusive Final Fantasy game offering younger fans a nice introduction into the Final Fantasy world and older fans, a lovely celebration of the previous titles. The official site for World of Final Fantasy has been updated recently with a plethora of new information ranging from new mirages to cameos to gameplay.
To help you sift through all of the new stuff, here are some of the highlights of what's been featured.
Mirage Updates
Mirages are the various beasts that you can fight alongside in World of Final Fantasy. Square Enix has now announced that Mirages can be captured by filling certain conditions and there are stronger Mirages that can be encountered by luck inside the Dark Crevasse.
To level up your Mirage, you have to gather skill points and then spend them on your "Mirage Board". Should you evolve your Mirage, you'll be able to keep some of the skills you unlock.

Trotting - End your Mirage on hunts for useful items
Rattling - Use Mirage's thunder ability to turn on machinery
Burning - Burn down foliage
Chilly - Put out fires or harden lava that may be blocking your path
Rumbling - Use a Mirage's strength to move massive obstacles
Flapping - Have your Airborne Mirage take you to places that are high up
Character Updates
SQUALL LEONHART / FINAL FANTASY VIII
Trains with Lightning and Cloud and is a member of the "SeeD" organization.
REFIA / FINAL FANTASY III
A white mage of sorts who has been exiled from her hometown, Saronia.
CID / NEW CHARACTER
Although he insists that he's infact human, Cid is a robot who loves to read and to learn.
New Locations
CORNELIA / FINAL FANTASY I
Ruled by Princess Sarah and protected by the Warrior of Light, this is the first city the main protagonists Reynn and Lann visit.
BALAMB GARDEN / FINAL FANTASY VIII
A giant airship that's home to the SeeD organization along with Quistis Trepe and Squall Leonheart.
ANCIENT LIBRARY / FINAL FANTASY V
This is a grand library that Cid frequents as it's full of very valuable books.
