Final Fantasy XIII-2 Now Available on Smartphones

Joining the ranks of other Final Fantasy games on smartphones, Square Enix has launched Final Fantasy XIII-2 on iOS and Android devices in Japan through a streaming service.

The game runs through "G-cluster", a cloud technology service, and in order to play the game, you'll need to have a stable internet connection to play. You can play a 30 minute free trial of the game and then after that the game costs 2400 yen which is about $17.

Due to it being optimized for Japanese mobile phone users, those outside of Japan might find it difficult to use the service. In any case, we'd be lying if we said we weren't interested in seeing how this looks on an iPhone.

Here's some footage posted on YouTube from Frank Wu of Final Fantasy XIII on mobile.
