Music To Our Ears, Final Symphony Is Now Available!

We spoke about this a little while ago, but we are super excited to inform all you avid Final Fantasy music fans that Final Symphony is now live for your listening and purchasing pleasure!

The album, which unlike Distant Worlds offers full arrangements of pieces from Final Fantasy, was recorded at Abbey Road Studios under the supervision of Nobuo Uematsu. You will find some stunning arrangements for pieces from Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X.

As mentioned, these pieces deviate from the source material with additional flair being added. And that is part of the charm of Final Symphony. The team who worked on the arrangements wanted to expand the original vision proposed by Uematsu-san. In the words of Thomas Bocker, who produced Final Symphony, "This is the music of Final Fantasy as you've never heard it before." We couldn't agree more.

If you are interested in purchasing the album, please visit iTunes. We will be posting up a full review/impressions piece from the album in the near future, so be sure to check that out if you're even remotely interested in Final Fantasy music. It may not quite be a new episode of Gaming Music FM, but it's close... right?!

Darryl was playing Final Fantasy before he was even born - quite a feat! Often very opinionated on the Final Fantasy franchise, you will often find him musing about small details. Feel free to follow him on Twitter.
