Fans Uncover Hidden Content Within Final Fantasy XIII On PC

Some rather keen fans have been digging around on the newly released PC version of Final Fantasy XIII and found some of the unfinished content that ultimately was cut from the final product.

The uncovered area is known as the Seventh Ark (Concealed Vestige) and was intended to be a free battle area with quests. In this unfinished version, there is a Nemesis boss similar to that encountered near the start of the game and there's even dialogue at the beginning. What's also interesting is that part of the area was re-used in Final Fantasy XIII-2 for the fight against Adam.

It was unveiled in the Final Fantasy XIII Ultimania Omega that Square Enix made the decision to cut the content due to "great differences between the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 network systems."
