Final Fantasy Brigade Highlighted In Square Enix Financial Report

Written by Darryl — 06 Feb 2013

Square Enix's recent financial report pained a rather gloomy picture, as the company announced losses between April 2012 and December 2012 of 5.7 billion yen (60 million dollars).

However, from the perspective of Final Fantasy, things weren't so bad. The company highlighted Final Fantasy Brigade numerous times as one of the shining lights of the year - but perhaps not for the reason that gamers might like.

While titles such as Hitman: Absolution didn't live up to their revenue potential, Final Fantasy Brigade was heralded for its profitability. In fact, Square Enix were pleased that their very aggressive monetisation strategy in the game had paid off. Perhaps this is one of the reasons behind Final Fantasy: All The Bravest?

Disappointingly, there was no mention at all of Final Fantasy XIII-2, which launched in the 1st quarter of 2012.
