Final Fantasy Type-0 Camera, Phantoma To Be Adjusted In Final Release

Square Enix recently released a demo of Final Fantasy Type-0, while the demo itself is quite impressive, some of the common complaints were of a dodgy camera that struggles to keep up with the fast-paced action. Director Hajime Tabata has been keeping a close eye on the feedback received, going on Twitter (spotted by Siliconera) to assure fans that the camera as well as the Phantoma system will be adjusted accordingly for the final retail release.

Phantoma are the essence of fallen enemies that players can collect in-game. They're used to upgrade your magic, although the demo doesn't let you do that. It's still fun and the animation seems awfully violent, with the body of downed enemies jerking as you absorb what remains of them. It also restores your MP.

In any case, it's good to see Tabata and his team respond to feedback and criticism of the game. The fast-paced action of Type-0 certainly suffers a hit from the wacky camera alone. Type-0 is out on October 13 in Japan. No word yet on an overseas release.
