Kitase Expresses Concern Over Final Fantasy Type-0 Western Release

Type-0 is out in Japan this Summer, but we haven't heard a lick of anything regarding a Western release, be it in North America and Europe. We managed to sit down with game producer Yoshinori Kitase at E3 last week, but his reply is anything but hopeful.

"As you may know very well, with the PSP market, the situation is very different in Japan than outside of Japan," said Kitase. "We are having to be very very careful in how we decide what would be the best way to deliver the game to all the gamers."

Kitase went on to add: "At the moment I can't give you any confirmed decision, so please be patient for a little bit longer."

While he didn't outright confirm or deny a release, his statement doesn't exactly bode well for hopeful fans outside of Japan. Type-0 has become one of the more anticipated titles from Square Enix's internal studios, outside of Versus, which was a no-go at E3 as well.
