Final Fantasy Union is back from the holiday break and is bringing the new year in with the demo of FF13. Darryl is joined by Colin and Lauren and after telling you about all of the new editions to FFU, they launch into their thoughts and analysis of the demo. Was it good or was it bad? You’ll have to listen to their in depth discussion to find out.
Afterwards, the gang jumps straight into your questions and this episode there are a LOT. The questions this time include which FF games are the most underrated, how many FF13 installments there will be, should Sakaguchi be re-hired, did you use your favorite characters in the games or replace them with the more powerful character, and whether or not the DLC for FF13-2 is a good thing or a bad thing.
The show rounds up with a great remix from FF7 and make sure you stick around to the end for the first bloopers of 2012. Get psyched, the new year of FFU is here! We are back with another fun episode of Final Fantasy Union with lots of news and questions. Darryl is joined by Colin and Lauren and they jump straight into the news from FF including FF13-2’s announced DLC, the European pre-order bonuses for FF13-2, and the new release dates and versions for FF14.
After the trio rants about how asinine FF14’s release dates are, they move into the burning question seamlessly which is “will you ever play Final Fantasy 14.” The answers are quite varied and may surprise you. After going through your responses, they transition into your questions. This week, the group covers three: what our younger selves would think about the current FF titles, why people want remakes of FF titles but then complain when they’re not getting new games, and how well with the FF10 HD remake sell.
And when they’re done talking about FF10, the show rounds out with a great remix from FF10. This show is positively full of craziness and fun, so don’t miss out! Final Fantasy Union is part of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Union podcast channel on Gaming Union/iTunes and releases an episode of FFU every three weeks.
Hey folks! It's Burning Question time again, thanks a lot for your responses to the last episode, it was nice to see people actually kind of agree for once!
This week's Burning Question is specifically about a game we might not ever even get to play properly, Final Fantasy Type-0. We want to know a) Did you play the Type-0 demo? and b) What did you think of it?
Answers on a post card and send them to the comments section below. Or, if you want, you can let us know on Twitter. Our account is @FFUNION.
Final Fantasy Union is back with a longer show than normal! The gang joins up together to talk all things FF. Darryl, David, Colin, and Lauren start the show off by talking a little about the Special Character Battle that just finished up and give their thoughts on the final match-up between Noctis and Cloud. Then they move into a great discussion between Colin and David about their impressions on the Type-0 demo that was released recently.
After the guys stop gushing about it, they talk about the burning question from last show which was "what do you think about 13-2 being released in winter of 2012." They tell you the general consensus and then they go into the questions for this episode, which include the guys' thoughts on the music from Type-0, DLC for Dissidia 012, and the future of the FF franchise with Vita coming out.
As always, the show is rounded out with a nice piece of music. Get your FF fix from the place that loves to give it away for free. Final Fantasy Union is part of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Union podcast channel on Gaming Union/iTunes and releases an episode of FFU every three weeks.
Eat your heart out fangirls, this week's cosplay feature proves that I'm not just browsing the web for good looking gals in Final Fantasy outfits (Okay, maybe I am). Anyway, back on topic. As usual, let's start off with who we've already showcased and they would be,
Yeah we're going to need a page for them cosplays eventually.
Genesis Rhapsados is the man of the week. Cosplayed by Otaru-Shirou, who has also cosplayed other characters including Squall from FFVIII and Riku from Kingdom Hearts II. Check out his killer cosplay after the jump, and more over at his deviantArt page. From the leather to the rapier and let's not forget his hair too, Otaru-Shirou makes a splendid Genesis.
So, I'm not sure if you guys saw the news last week, but Square Enix came out and said that Final Fantasy Agito XIII was a low priority for them right now. Personally, I'm really disappointed by this news. Agito XIII is a title I'm really looking forward to, mainly because it promises to be a really different proposition to a normal Final Fantasy title, but also because of what they achieved with Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
Now, I'm certainly not Yoichi Wada and I'm not entirely sure if I'd want to be. But I really can't fathom what's going through his head right now and I don't think many people can fathom what's been going through his head for the last few years. Surely it'd be better to concentrate on Final Fantasy Agito XIII, a game that they announced years ago and everyone's anticipating, than an addition to the Parasite Eve franchise, a franchise that's probably as niche as they come with regards to Square Enix's library.
