Final Fantasy VIII

Minor Character

During the opening mission of Final Fantasy VIII, Nida undertakes the training exercise in Dollet along with other SeeD candidates, such as Squall, Zell and Seifer. It is only during the debriefing, when they are promoted to SeeD, that Cid Kramer mentions his name. He also offers him the following advice: "Do your best, even if you don't stand out."

Later on, Nida is given a much more prominent role. When Balamb takes off during the missile attack and is finally repaired at Fisherman's Horizon, he is the sole person taught by the technicians how to pilot the Garden. Squall is more than happy to entrust the task of navigating the Garden to Nida, and this makes him a much more valued member of the team.
