Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

Minor Character

Gurdy is Hurdy's twin sister and she is also Montblanc's sister. Her work revolves around chocobo rentals, and she runs the various ranches around Ivalice. Vaan encounters Gurdy when she petitions for the mark Trickster. She is also seen once again when Yiazmat has been defeated. A trophy (Spendthrift) of Gurdy can be obtained for the Sky Pirate's Den once the player has spent over 1 million Gil.

Final Fantasy XII

Gurdy appears in a side story during Chapter 4. She offers Hurdy a chocobo even though she believes he can't infact ride one, despite him claiming otherwise. Later she also requests an accessory from Hurdy. It is apparent that Hurdy seems to think that Gurdy acts more like a mother than a sister.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

Gurdy also appears in Crystal Chronicles, but is a completely different character to that seen in the Ivalice universe. The first major difference is that Gurdy is now a man, as well as being a Clavat.

Gurdy is first encountered by the Tipa Caravan while he is arguing with some other caravaners from Marr's Pass. They abandon him, and the Tipa caravan offer him a ride to the next town. He recits them a verse from a poem in thanks.

Everytime the party runs into Gurdy, they find he is in quite a difficult situation with other caravans and the reward each time for helping him out is another verse from the poem. The last time he is met, he is in league with the Striped Brigands. They have pretended to kidnap him, in an attempt to get money from the Tipa Caravan. However, when the player offers them a single apple for his release, Gurdy is disillusioned to the value of his life. He then recites the full poem.
