Final Fantasy I
Main Antagonist
(Contains Spoilers)
Chaos is the final boss in the original Final Fantasy game, but he only appears towards the end of the story. This is because he is actually Garland, or more correctly, Garland after he absorbs the power of the crystals and transforms.
When the Warrior of Light travels two thousand years into the past, he confronts Garland. To try and preserve his pact and allow him to live forever, Garland absorbs the powers of Lich, Marilith, Kraken and Tiamat and Chaos is the result.
This isn't enough though, and the Warrior of Light successfully defeats Chaos. This causes Chaos to disintegrate and cease to exist.
Final Fantasy Dissidia
Main Antagonist
(^Top)
In Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Chaos once again has grand desires. This time he is attempting to both capture all of the crystals and defeat Cosmos at the same time.
This acts as a over-riding story which takes places above the generic conflicts and serves as the true "good vs evil". Chaos appears as a lava-like monster from the ground.
To try and achieve his goals, Chaos has summoned 10 villains from the history of Final Fantasy and they will face off against Cosmos' 10 antagonists.
