Drumroll please. We are back with the final battle of this character battle and it's going to be an interesting one! In one corner is Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy VII, ex-SOLDIER and sword for hire, a dry sarcastic jerk face that will protect his allies at all costs. In the newbie corner is Noctis Lucis Caelum of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, heir to the throne of his kingdom and protector of the Crystal, a noisy bugger according to Nomura and one that acts tough because of his responsibilities.
What a fight. It was a tug of war between Cloud and Aqua as either character pushed forward only to be overtaken by the other some minutes later! Then cue the Basch voters as Cloud stormed ahead, knocking Aqua out of this character battle for good.
Now will today's battle fair as epicly as that? Noctis from Final Fantasy Versus XIII - of which won't be at TGS this year, unfortunately - is battling with Vincent from Final Fantasy VII. Who will it be!? Keep in mind that the winner goes onto the finals to face off with Cloud.
If it's not one over-hyped character, it's another over-hyped character. Noctis from Versus moves onto the semis! Knocking out the One Winged Angel in the process.
Now for the last round of the quarter finals: Vincent Valentine from FFVII battles it out with Rikku from FFX! Who will it be ladies?
Looks like Cloud is victorious. Funny how the tables turn. Auron beat Cloud in the previous character battle. Now Cloud moves onto the semis to face Aqua from Kingdom Hearts!
Today's battle ought to be interesting, I've got my fingers crossed as Sephiroth from FFVII faces off with Noctis from Versus XIII. Will it be a tight intense one or just a boring landslide? Hopefully it'll be the former.
It's over one thousand! Things were getting pretty close there until Aqua pulled forward with a ton of votes out of thin air.
Next fight in the quarter finals puts Auron and Cloud against each other. Who will make it to the semis? Hit the polls and maybe we can get it over nine thousand this time.
