A new lady was shown during the TGS trailer for Final Fantasy XIII, and she had a heavy Australian accent. At the time, nobody knew her name, but magazine scans have now surfaced.
There's no official word yet, but sprculation suggests that her name is Oerba Yun Fang, which some people may notice is similar to Oerba Dia Vanille. Nothing is known about their ties, but she is said to be a l'Cie.
The latest edition of V-Jump Magazine, which has just been released in Japan, has some information about a new character for Final Fantasy XIII.
He was previously seen during the E3 2009 trailer for the game and his name is Yaag Rosch. He is a Lieutenant Colonel and he hopes to bring peace to the people of Cocoon.
With GamesCom coming up shortly, expect more information about this to be revealed.
Following on from Jump Magazine's short reveal for Hope Estheim, Famitsu has now been published. The magazine contains a vast amount of information about the game's new playable character Hope Estheim in seven scans, which can be seen below.
We reported a few days ago that there would be a new Final Fantasy XIII character announced shortly, in our news post about Famitsu. However, it was actually Jump Magazine that was leaked, and had the first details about the new character.

News about Final Fantasy XIII has been quite infrequent since E3, so it's good to hear that things might start to pick up soon.
Reports in Japan suggest that the next edition of Famitsu is going to reveal a new Final Fantasy XIII character into the mix. No other information has been given at the present time though.
There is also mention of some new information about the battle system, so it'll be interesting to see if this turns out to major announcement, or a minor detail which wasn't previously spoken of.
Three characters recently seen in the newest Final Fantasy XIII have had their names revealed. All are also playable in the forthcoming FFXIII demo as well.
The three characters--Rebro, the woman; Gabou, the red head; and Marquis, the blond one with goggles--are also confirmed to be playable in the demo. Following are images each of the characters with their newly revealed names.
All three characters are also supposedly part of "Team Nora" which Snow Villiers leads.

The countdown has ended, and with it we have the latest rendition of the never ending Final Fantasy XIII trailer. However, it isn't at all as stale as usual. Nearly all of the trailer footage is new, featuring voice acting and new characters.
Sazh Katzroy is all the rage with the world right now, as he's the latest character to be announced for the upcoming Square Enix game, Final Fantasy XIII.
